FAQS

What do most people wear to worship services?
Dress is casual, although there are a few people who choose to dress up.  You'll see jeans, slacks, shorts, skirts and dresses - but no coats and ties!

If I visit, will I be singled out as a guest?
We have greeters at the front door who greet everyone, not just guests.  They are happy to answer any questions you have.  We have a 'meet and greet' time during the service to allow everyone to shake hands, but no one will know that YOU are a guest.  We want you to feel welcome but free to sit back and check us out.

Will I get hounded by people trying to "convert" me?
No one will besiege you with spam or home visits.  We do encourage you to fill out a communication card at our welcome center so we can be of more assistance, but that's totally up to you.  When you do, you will receive a gift from Trinity.  After filling out the card, we send you a stamped postcard asking for your anonymous feedback on your experience at Trinity.  Your first impressions are helpful to us.

Do I have to give money?
We believe that all we have ultimately comes from God, so it is our privilege to give back a portion for the work of his church to move forward.  An offering is a part of our worship, but we don’t want or expect guests to give.

Do I have to believe in Jesus Christ or confess certain beliefs before I can attend Trinity?
No.  Many people who start attending Trinity have little or no relationship with Christ.  We welcome people at all stages of their spiritual journey.

What are the facilities like?
Cool . . . especially the Kidz Connection and Student Center.  Here are some specifics to help you find your way around:

Parking:
Reserved spots for visitors are located in front of the main entrance breezeway.  Paved parking lots are located along E. Broussard Road and the right side of the campus.  A large gravel lot is located on the left side of the campus, close to the Kidz Connection.

Worship:
Services are held in the auditorium in the Main Building.  Also located there are offices, coffee bar (free) and classrooms used for adult classes.  Adult classes are offered during our 9:45 service and located in the double classroom down the hallway.

Children:
Children’s rooms are located in the Kidz Connection behind the Main Building (next to the gravel lot).  Our children’s program is offered at all services.  See below for more information of interest to parents.

Youth:
Middle school students meet at 9 am in the Student Center, located behind the Main Building (next to the paved lot).  High School students meet at 10:45 am in the Student Center.

College Students:
College students have periodic classes on Sunday morning.  There is currently a class meeting at 9:45 am in the small building located at the rear of the campus.

REGARDING CHILDREN

How do I know the volunteers can be trusted?
Screening for volunteers includes background, legal, and reference checks.

How can I be sure no one else will pick up my child?
We have a security system in place to ensure the safety of your kids.  When you check your child in, you are given tags with matching numbers.  The person picking up the child must have a tag that matches the child's in order for the child to be released to them.

What if my child needs me during the service?
As new parents/visitors you would be given a pager so we can contact you if your child needs you for any reason during the service.

What if I have a Special Needs child?
We would love to pair your child with a leader who can assist him or her each week.  The specific needs of the child and parent are taken into consideration before a volunteer match is made.  It may be necessary for a family to wait until the appropriate volunteer is found. Contact Angi, Kidz Connection Director, at 406-2801 x. 101 or
mizangi@trinitybible.org.

What is the youngest age you accept in the nursery?
We love babies and take them as soon as a new mom feels comfortable leaving her child in our infant nursery.

May I take my children into the worship service?  We encourage you to let your children experience our excellent Kidz Connection care and programs.  We realize there are times that parents may wish to take their children into the service.  We ask that you be considerate of those around you and take your children into the foyer if they begin to distract others from hearing what God wants to say to them.  For your convenience, the service is broadcast over speakers located there.

Are all the kids' programs the same?
Yes. All Sunday programs are identical.

Do you have a wellness policy?
Yes.  We ask that sick children not attend to ensure the health of children and staff.  If your child needs to stay with you during the service, there are seats reserved at the back.  An usher would be glad to direct you.
